Apex Professional University (APU) is a private university located at the Pasighat,District East Siang in Arunachal Pradesh (INDIA) established in 2013.The Apex Professional University is accredited and recognized by the University Grants Commission under the section of 2(f) of UGC act 1956.[1][2]
History
In 2012, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly has passed Apex Professional University Act, which received Governor of Arunachal Pradesh assent on 8 May 2013.[3] Apex Professional University, Arunachal Pradesh is sponsored and funded by Apex Foundation. Presently the Chancellor of the University is Dhanwant Singh Matharoo.
Establishment Of The University
Apex Professional University is an externally funded State University established under Arunachal Pradesh State Legislature Act (Act No 7 of 2013) and enlisted under Section 2(f) of University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956.[4] It is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model between the State of Arunachal Pradesh and Apex Foundation, Bangalore. Under this model many representatives of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh form part of the Senior Management of the University.
