Venkateshwara Open University (VOU) is a state private University located in Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, India.[1][2] It was established by the Venkateshwara Open University Act No.10 of 2012 of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in 2012. VOU is empowered to award degrees by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. VOU is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Caste discrimination
VOU is fully committed to stop Caste Discrimination at University admissions. A committee has been in place to ensure that caste discrimination is not presence at the University. A register to lodge a complaint in this regard has been maintained at the registrar office and the committee it is empowered to take any necessary and strict actions in the case of any violations.
