Asteranthos is a genus of woody plant in the Lecythidaceae family. There is only one known species, Asteranthos brasiliensis, native to Venezuela and Brazil.[1][2][3][4][5]
Asteranthos brasiliensis is listed as having "near threatened" status.[6]
