Advertising campaign

Soon after the site launched, Blue Ox Jerky introduced Saul Bunyan as one of the lesser known brothers of lumberjack legend Paul Bunyan.[4] The fictional story explains that the brand's name began as a wager between Saul and the Jürke brothers for a blue ox. During this wager an accidental fire in a barn yard with the mixture of beef and spices created the first piece of Blue Ox Jerky.
