BombSquad is a party game currently available on Mac, Ouya, Linux and now on Android, that can be played by up to 8 players (limit can be lifted) connected from a variety of controllers. It has received positive reviews from several outlets,[1] and at the time of writing has 5 stars / 5 on the Mac App Store, and 4,3 on the google play store[2]

It was selected as best multiplayer game of 2012 on OneClickMac.com.[3]

Gameplay

Players can either throw punches or fuse bombs and mines, which can then be thrown at their opponents to give them to edge in the mini-game you are playing.

Mini-games include Capture-the-Flag, King-of-the-Hill, Bomber-Hockey, Elimination, as well as the addition of epic mode, which employs slow motion.[4] In addition to those 4 mini-games, few more were added, Meteor Shower, Football, Chosen One, Keep Away and Race.

Up to 8 players can join a single game through local wifi. The game supports a variety of controllers, including keyboards, PC gamepads, Wiimotes, PS3 controllers, and Xbox 360 controllers. Players can use iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads as wireless gamepads using BombSquad Remote, available for free on the iOS App Store.[5] As BombSquad was released for Android, it is now possible to use an Android device as a controller.

The Android version also includes other minigames like Ninja Fight and Target Practice. Tournaments are also held to win tickets which can be used to buy things in the store
