Borovany is a village and municipality (obec) in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 6.37 square kilometres (2.46 sq mi), and has a population of 227 (as at 2005).
Borovany lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Písek, 42 km (26 mi) north of České Budějovice, and 83 km (52 mi) south of Prague.
