Chi2 Hydrae is an Beta Lyrae variable star system in the constellation Hydra. Its apparent magnitude is 5.71. Located around 212 parsecs (690 ly) distant, the system's primary star is an evolved B-type giant or subgiant of spectral type B2,[1] meaning that the star that has used up its core hydrogen.
