Chittagong Cantonment Public College is a prominent educational institution in Chittagong, Bangladesh, situated on the eastern boundary of Chittagong Cantonment with a 20-acre campus.
History
It started it's journey on 23rd October 1961 with three teachers and 24 students. After the liberation war on 1971, this institution was re-established on 17 March 1972. From then, this institution came under the direct supervision of Bangladesh Army. In 1971 it gets its recognition from Secondary and Higher Secondary Board of Education, Comilla and received permission to start the discipline of Science from class IX and Business Studies department. In 1995 this institution introduced BA, B.Com and B.Sc under Bangladesh National University. It started the English Medium in National Curriculum from class six in the year 2003 and the students of this English Medium appeared in the board exam in 2008 for the first time. At present this English Medium (National Curriculum) is continuing in H.S.C. level. In 2005 it got permission from Bangladesh National University to start B.B.A. and Honours in Management, Finance and Marketing. From then, it's changed to Chittagong Cantonment Public College from Chittagong Public School & College and started the journey as a university college.
Administration
This institution is usually led by an army principal who is usually a Colonel of the Bangladesh Army. At present the principal is Colonel Abu Naser Mohammad Toha. The school and college sections have separate vice-principals.

At present, the school has around 4000 students, both male and females, studying from the 1st grade to degree level.

The institution has almost 60 teachers in School Section & more than 100 teachers in college section.
Achievements
In 2005, among 21 Cantonment Public School and College, Chittagong Cantonment Public College awarded Army Chief Of Staff Trophy.[3] In 2004 and 2007 the school was in the top 10 out of the 150 schools under the Chittagong Education Board in term of results in the Higher Secondary Certificate by the number of GPA-5 achievers, and In 2007 also by number of students who passed.[4][5]
Sports and other facilities
The college occurs the annual sports every year. There are long jump, high jump, 100 meter run, 400 meter run, parade, physical exercise, karate etc. The college also goes to picnic in every year in various places to give enjoyment to the student.
Cultural Occasions
It celebrate almost every occasions in college Auditorium. Among them, fresher's reception, various days, fare well occasion etc. are main.
Facilities
This institution also developed modern infrastructural facilities for the students. In college sections there are two buildings and in school section there are three enormous buildings. Both the sections has separate libraries and laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Secretarial Science, Computer Science and Engineering Drawing . There are two separate canteens for school and college section. It has a spacious auditorium which can accommodate 1200 audience members. There is also a spacious playground, basketball ground and for the students of nursery, there is a nursery park. For the transportation of the students there are ten buses.
