Como is a town in Hopkins County, Texas, United States. The population was 702 at the 2010 census.
Texas politician Marshall Formby was born in Como in 1911. State Representative Erwin Cain practices law in Sulphur Springs but resides in Como with his wife and three children.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 621 people, 216 households, and 168 families residing in the town. The population density was 561.4 people per square mile (216.0/km²). There were 237 housing units at an average density of 214.2 per square mile (82.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 89.69% White, 2.90% African American, 5.96% from other races, and 1.45% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 19.16% of the population.
There were 216 households out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.8% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% were non-families. 18.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.88 and the average family size was 3.28.
In the town the population was spread out with 29.8% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 101.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $25,962, and the median income for a family was $27,500. Males had a median income of $26,591 versus $15,893 for females. The per capita income for the town was $11,800. About 18.0% of families and 22.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 29.4% of those under age 18 and 22.2% of those age 65 or over.
