Diogo António Cupido Gonçalves (born 6 February 1997) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Benfica B.

Club career

Born in Almodôvar, Portugal, Gonçalves started his career at local club CD Almodôvar in 2005. In 2007, he joined FC Ferreiras. A year later, Gonçalves joined S.L. Benfica's youth system.

On 14 February 2015, after being promoted from the youth team, Gonçalves debuted for Benfica B, as a substitute, playing 20 minutes in a home win against Oliveirense (4–1) in Segunda Liga.[1]

On 24 May 2015, Gonçalves scored his first goal for Benfica B in a home win against Vitória de Guimarães B (2–1). On 29 May, he scored the only goal of a friendly held for the opening of F.C. United of Manchester's Broadhurst Park.[2][3]
