Felton T. "Pooch" Wright (August 20, 1900 – May 25, 1971) was the sixth head football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas and he held that position for three seasons, from 1948 until 1950. His career coaching record at Howard Payne was 15 wins, 15 losses, and 1 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 12th at Howard Payne in total wins and ninth at Howard Payne in winning percentage (0.500).[3] He had a son, Robert Felton Wright.[4]
