Gryżewo [ɡrɨˈʐɛvɔ] (German Griesgirren, German-nazi 1938-1945 Grieswalde) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Banie Mazurskie, within Gołdap County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Banie Mazurskie, 17 km (11 mi) west of Gołdap, and 117 km (73 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945, the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
The village has a population of 80.
