Indian vice-presidential election, 1987

The Indian vice presidential election, 1987 was held in 1987 to elect Vice President of India, after the incumbent R. Venkataraman resigned, due to being elected as the President. Shankar Dayal Sharma was declared elected unopposed, as all other 26 nominations were rejected upon scrutiny[1]
