Isonandra lanceolata is a plant in the Sapotaceae family. It grows as a shrub or small tree[2][3] or as a larger tree up to 26 metres (90 ft) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 46 centimetres (18 in).[4] The bark is chocolate brown. Inflorescences bear up to 10 pale yellow flowers. The specific epithet lanceolata is from the Latin meaning "spear-shaped", referring to the leaves. It grows in forests from sea-level to 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) altitude. I. lanceolata is found in Southern India, Sri Lanka and Borneo.[4]
