James Blair Junior High School is a historic middle school building located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1921, and is a four-story, brick building in the Beaux-Arts style. It consists of a central core terminated by end pavilions and sits on an elevated basement. The interior features a grand granite staircase and an auditorium with classical motifs, including pilasters, coffered ceiling and balcony. The school is named for James Blair (1656–1743), a prominent Virginia Educator who established the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.[3]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.[1]
