James Lindley Jones (1878 – date of death unknown) was an English cricketer. Jones' batting style was unknown, although it is known he fielded as a wicket-keeper. His full date of birth is unknown, but it is known he was born in Bootle, Lancashire.
Jones made his first-class debut for Lancashire in the 1910 County Championship against Nottinghamshire. He played three further first-class matches in 1910, including his final first-class appearance which came against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.[1] In his four career first-class matches, he scored 10 runs at a batting average of 10.00, with a high score of 7*; his 5 innings included 4 unbeaten innings. Behind the stumps he took 5 catches.[2] From 1909 to 1912 he played Minor Counties Championship cricket for Cheshire.[3]
