Manatsu no Tōriame (真夏の通り雨, lit. "Midsummer Shower") is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Utada Hikaru. It was released digitally April 15, 2016, at the same as her other new single, Hanataba wo Kimi ni. The song is the theme to NTV's news show NEWS ZERO. The single is Utada's first release since 2012's Evangelion 3.0 theme song Sakura Nagashi, along with Hanataba wo Kimi ni, and it marks her official comeback to Japanese music scene.
