Matt Williams (born December 19, 1986 in Pensacola, Florida) is an American soccer player who previously played for Real Maryland Monarchs in the USL Second Division.
Career
College and Amateur
Williams attended Booker T. Washington High School, and played two years of college soccer at the University of West Florida. In his senior season he was voted to the All-GSC First Team, and finished his college career five goals and 12 assists in 40 games.
Following his graduation from UWF Williams spent time as an assistant coach with his alma mater, and played in the USL Premier Development League for the Panama City Pirates under his college coach Bill Elliott.[1]
Professional
Williams turned professional in 2010 when he signed to play for the Real Maryland Monarchs in the USL Second Division.[2] He made his professional debut on April 17, 2010 in the team's 2010 season opener against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.[3]
