[2]Meals on Wheels America, situated in Arlington, Virginia[3] and headed by President and CEO Ellie Hollander, is the oldest and largest national organization supporting the more than 5,000 community-based senior nutrition programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation. Meals on Wheels America is a non-profit organization which works towards improving information and services provided to citizens.[4]

Vision: An America in which all seniors live a nourished life with independence and dignity.[5]

Mission: To empower local community programs to improve the health and quality of life of the seniors they serve so that no one is left hungry or isolated.[6]
