Modła [ˈmɔdwa] (German: Modlau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gromadka, within Bolesławiec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany.
It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south of Gromadka, 17 km (11 mi) east of Bolesławiec, and 88 km (55 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
It was the site of the castle Modlau which was almost completely destroyed. Castle Modlau was one of the seats of the Bibran-Modlau family.
