Motor Vehicles Committee (Georgia House)
The House Motor Vehicles Committee is a 12-member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and nine members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate legislation concerning "Driver's Licenses, Motor Carrier laws, and Uniform Rules of the Road" throughout the state.[1]
Scope and jurisdiction
The House Motor Vehicles Committee is responsible for all issues concerning Driver's Licenses, Motor Carrier laws, and the Uniform Rules of the Road. The committee also has jurisdiction over laws pertaining to motor vehicle tags, titles, and registrations.[1]
