Osage Venture Partners (OVP) is a venture capital fund located just outside Philadelphia, Pa. that invests in early-stage enterprise software and healthcare IT companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. OVP raised its first fund in 2005, and currently has more than $100M under management.[1] OVP is part of Osage Partners, a family of investment funds with diversified investment strategies including Osage University Partners.[2]
Investment Strategy
OVP invests in companies that fit three main criteria:
- Early stage, which generally means post-revenue companies that have market validation of their solution and are looking to raise their first institutional capital.
- Mid-Atlantic, which means Washington, D.C. to Boston and west to Pittsburgh, though can extend outside of those boundaries for compelling opportunities on the East Coast
- Enterprise Software, which broadly means companies that provide software solutions and technology-enabled services for enterprise buyers in areas such as healthcare IT, data analytics, or infrastructure management
