Osmani García
Osmani "La Voz" García Gonzalez is a Cuban reggaeton (cubatón) singer.
Biography
Cuban singer, songwriter and musical producer, Osmani “La Voz” (The Voice) Garcia, began performing songs by Latin norteño band, Los Tigres del Norte and tenor, Luciano Pavarotti at the age of 3. His neighbors, fascinated by his talent, would trade homemade popsicles for a song. He first entered a choir at the age of 4, studied sound at primary school and sang at youth events. He was 12 years old when he composed his first song and began to study the best songs of every genre. He later went on to share stage with some of the island’s top acts, where he earned his second nickname, Osmani Garcia, La Fabrica del Éxito, (The Hit Factory). At the age of 21 he composed his first popular song in honour of International Women’s Day. His muses include his mother and grandmother and powerful women such as Celia Cruz, Elena Burque, Gloria Torres, Laura Pausini, and his singing teacher, Chela, who always inspired him to sing with joy.[1]
Music and Career
Osmani Garcia bases his work on common and popular words that are shared across different cultures and languages. His first global hit "El Taxi" featuring Pitbull, Sensato and La Musa, is proof of that. It is based on original melodies created to cause an effect of camaraderie and fun. Double meaning is the basis of his lyrics; Osmani believes that the most authentic moments of life are sexual and the greatest satisfaction and pride he feels is making people smile.
Backed by a solid team of musicians consisting of Dayami La Musa, Adonis MC, Orley Garcia, DJ Mostro, DJ Conds, and percussionist Leosbel Lopez, Osmani Garcia has performed across the globe confident of the foundation of his music.
Mexico awarded him with its highest recognition, a Luminary Star on the Walk of Fame. His songs and musical productions have managed to break international records via social networks. His hit "El Taxi" featuring Pitbull already has more than 700 million YouTube views combined, it is the most high-profile and sought song of 2015 confirmed by Google, as well as being the closing song at the 2016 GRAMMY Awards live telecast performed by Pitbull alongside the sensual Sofia Vergara. Zumba instructors worldwide love Osmani for his energy and for the sound that he has boldly achieved with “Sacudete la Arena” (Shake off the Sand), the new single that has already become a global phenomenon.
Osmani Garcia is now at an exciting crossroads recently having signed to Miami’s Rock The Moon record label. This Cuban superstar known as La Voz (The Voice), La Fabrica de Exitos (The Hit Factory), El Chiquito de Cuba (Cuba’s Kid), El dios del sonido (The god of sound), is ready to take his music all across the globe while “offering the world a sound of humanity and peace to all”; his motto since childhood.
