Paraguay–Spain relations are foreign relations between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Paraguay.
Both countries are full members of the Latin Union, of the Association of Spanish Language Academies, and of the Organization of Ibero-American States.
History
Paraguay was part of the Spanish Empire until its independence in 1811. Both countries established diplomatic relations on September 10, 1880.
Embassies and consulates
- Paraguay has an embassy in Madrid,[1] a general consulate in Barcelona[2] and Málaga.[3]
- Spain has an embassy in Asuncion.[4]
