Paulo César Lopes de Gusmão, better known as Paulo César Gusmão or PC Gusmão (born 19 May 1962 in Rio de Janeiro), is a former football goalkeeper and manager.
Career as a player
Paulo started his career playing for Vasco da Gama. Later he went on to play for other teams such as Botafogo, Campo Grande-RJ, Cabofriense-RJ, Americano-RJ, and Pouso Alegre-MG.
Non-playing career
In his career, Paulo has trained keepers for Vasco (1992–1994); Fluminense (1995); Flamengo (1996); Santos; Corinthians. As an assistant manager he has coached Palmeiras and Cruzeiro. As a manager he has coached Vasco (2001), Palmeiras (2002), Cruzeiro (2004 and 2005), Flamengo (2004), Cabofriense (2005), Botafogo (2005), Cruzeiro (2006) and São Caetano (2006). On 29 September 2006, he was announced as the new manager of Fluminense Football Club, in the Rio de Janeiro. In 2007, he was hired as Náutico's manager. He has additionally coached the Seleção from Brazil at the youth level.

- Titles as a player: Taça Rio 1988 and Campeonato Carioca 1988, with Vasco.
- Titles as a trainer (goalkeeper): Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (1998 and 1999); Campeonato Paulista (1999), with Corinthians; Copa Mercosul (2000) and Copa João Havelange (2000), with Vasco; Copa Oro (19960 and Campeonato Carioca (1996), with Flamengo; Campeonato Carioca (1995), with Fluminense.
- Titles as an assistant manager: Campeonato Mineiro 2003; Copa do Brasil (2003); and Campeonato Brasileiro (2003)
- Titles as a manager: One Campeonato Cearense: Ceará 2012. Two times Campeonato Mineiro: Cruzeiro 2004 and Cruzeiro 2006. Titles with the Seleção include Copa América 2000; Pre-Olympic games (2000).
Education
He has a college degree in physical education from the Universidade Castelo Branco and he graduated in 1984.
