Rockwood (formerly Alberta)^[2] is an unincorporated community in Imperial County, California.^[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 5.25 miles (8.4 km) south of Calipatria,^[2] at an elevation of 154 feet (47 m) below sea level.^[1]

The name Rockwood honors Charles R. Rockwood, irrigation promoter.^[2] The Alberta post office operated from 1910 to 1914.^[2]
