The Long Island Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Course event has been held annually in Long Island since 2016. The event currently takes place at the Long Island Sports Park.[1]
History
2016
Approximately 4,500 runners participated in the first year of Rugged Maniac on Long Island on September 17, 2016. Billy Allen, winner of Rugged Maniac New York City and Rugged Maniac New Jersey 2016, clocked in the fastest time, beating second place finisher, Robert Torres, by nearly 9 minutes. [2]
