Samesame.com.au (written as SameSame) is an Australian LGBTQIA lifestyle website created by Tim Duggan[1] and a partner. The website is run by Junkee Media in the Sydney suburb of Surry Hills.[2] According to the site's publishers, its Nielsen ratings make it the most visited Australian gay and lesbian lifestyle website.[3]
The website hosts annual awards called the "Gaylies", which seek to recognize influential LGBTQIA people.[4][5][6] During September 2016, website staff verbally threatened employees of the Sydney Airport Mercure Hotel, in a bid to manufacture hysteria surrounding a peaceful meeting of the Australian Christian Lobby and other church groups. The website continues to demonstrate contradictory behavior with regards to tolerating free speech.
