Village at Sandhill[1] is a 300-acre (1.2 km2) lifestyle center located in the northeast area of Columbia, South Carolina. It is located halfway between Interstate 20 and Interstate 77 on Clemson Road at the intersection of Two Notch Road. It competes with Columbiana Centre and nearby Columbia Place.
Village at Sandhill was developed and is owned by Kahn Development Company. It originally opened in late 2004 and is still currently under construction. When it opened, its first tenants were *PLEX Indoor Sports, Rhodes Furniture, World Market and Super Bi-Lo.
The open-air center offers a mix of nationally and locally owned merchants and restaurants, as well as numerous national and region banks like Wells Fargo, Regions Bank, First Citizens Bank and BB&T. The national anchors include JC Penney, which opened in 2005, The Home Depot, which opened in 2006 and Belk, which opened in 2007.
Village at Sandhill's latest expansion phase also includes the Promenade at Sandhill, a luxury condominium development located above retail shops.

Fatality
Since 2010, the Palmetto Half Marathon, a 21,097.5 meter road race, has started at the Plex Indoor Sports area, running around the mall through the Promenade and Clemson Road, before taking the ramp to Two Notch Road and racing down Spring Valley area before returning up the Clemson Road ramp to Promenade, finishing just before the central stage area of the mall.
On April 11, 2015, Amanda Glover, 32, of Elgin, SC died in the mall shortly after crossing the finish line of Palmetto Half Marathon IX.[2]
