Urban Affairs Committee (Georgia Senate)
The Senate Urban Affairs Committee is a 10 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and seven members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to regulate matters of infrastructure and economic developments that have a unique impact on the urban areas of metropolitan Atlanta.[1]
Scope and jurisdiction
The Senate Urban Affairs Committee is responsible for "addressing any transportation, public safety, healthcare, recreation, infrastructure and economic development issues that uniquely impact the urban areas of metropolitan Atlanta."[1]
