Urgnano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Milan and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) south of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,704 and an area of 14.0 square kilometres (5.4 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Urgnano contains the frazione (subdivision) Basella. Among the churches in the town are Santissima Trinità and the parish church of Santi Nazario e Celso.
Urgnano borders the following municipalities: Cavernago, Cologno al Serio, Comun Nuovo, Ghisalba, Spirano, Zanica.
