Vír is a village and municipality (obec) in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 5.31 square kilometres (2.05 sq mi), and has a population of 731 (as at 28 August 2006).
Vír lies approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) east of Žďár nad Sázavou, 56 km (35 mi) east of Jihlava, and 149 km (93 mi) south-east of Prague.
