WCIZ-FM is a classic hits radio station in Watertown, New York. Around early 2000, the station changed formats from classic rock to classic hits. WCIZ-FM went on the air in the summer of 1988,[1] the station originally began broadcasting at 97.5 FM which later moved to a new frequency on 93.5 in 1997 and changed to its current frequency at 93.3 FM in 1999. Prior to WCIZ-FM's move to 93.5 from 97.5, the station was a CHR station known as WTNY-FM "T-93 FM" which began broadcasting in the 1980s.
WCIZ-FM is currently known as Z93 & has a line-up of local radio talent. The talent line-up includes Jay Donovan in the Mornings, Dianne Chase in Middays, & Dave Williams in afternoons. Z93 has a unique weekend show called the Z93wind hosted by Jeff shannon, where Jeff revisits a specific year in history, often highlighting local history. On Saturdays in addition to having Jeff Shannon in the morning Z93 also has local talents Joe Munroe in Middays & Pam Summers in the afternoons.
