The 20th District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in eastern Wisconsin, and is currently composed of parts of Dodge, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, and Washington counties. The district is north of Milwaukee, and lies along the shore of Lake Michigan.[1]

Current elected officials

Duey Stroebel was elected in a special election to the 20th Senate District on April 7, 2015. He had previously been a State Assemblyman from the 60th District from 2011-2015 until he gave it up in a losing effort in the Republican Primary for the 6th Congressional District in 2014, an election won by Stroebel's predecessor in the 20th Senate District, Glenn Grothman.

The area of the 20th Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts, all held by Republicans:[2]

The district is also located partly within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by Jim Sensenbrenner, and partly within Wisconsin's 6th congressional district, which is represented by Grothman.[3]

Note: the boundaries of districts have changed repeatedly over history. Previous politicians of a specific numbered district have represented a completely different geographic area, due to redistricting.
