Mersin İdmanyurdu (also Mersin İdman Yurdu, Mersin İY, or MİY) Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1990–91. Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) participated in Second League in 1990–91 season for the 17th time and finished third. The team also participated in Turkish Cup (Federasyon Kupası) in 1990–91 and eliminated at Round 2.

Club president was Kaya Mutlu. Kadri Aytaç was head coach. Most appeared player was Sinan Turhan with 31 appearances. Sinan Turhan was also top goalscorer with 15 goals.

1990–91 Turkish Cup participation

1990–91 Turkish Cup was played by 105 teams in 6 rounds prior to quarterfinals in one-leg elimination system. Mersin İdmanyurdu had participated in 29th Turkish Cup (played as Federasyon Kupası) in 1990–91 from Round 1 and eliminated at Round 2. Both of the opponents were from the same group with MİY in Second League. Galatasaray won the cup for the 9th time.[6]
