The 2015–16 season is Bolton Wanderers's fourth consecutive season in the Football League Championship following their relegation from the Premier League in 2012.[1] Along with the Championship, the club will also compete in the FA Cup and Football League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season

On 19 May 2015, Bolton Wanderers announced their pre-season schedule in full for both the entire squad and an XI squad.[2][3] On 2 June 2015, the club confirmed their home pre-season friendly against Chievo Verona.[4] On 26 June 2015, Bolton Wanderers announced the club will face two friendlies during their Austria tour.[5]
