Hunter River Coordinates: 46°21′0″N 63°21′0″W / 46.35000°N 63.35000°W is a community located in Queens County in central Prince Edward Island just south-west of North Rustico. It is situated on the Hunter River.
It has been suggested that Hunter River is represented in the works of Lucy Maud Montgomery as Bright River in the fictional region of Avonlea.[1]
James Charles McGuigan, who became Archbishop of Toronto and a Cardinal, was born in Hunter River.
