It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Entally (Vidhan Sabha constituency).^[1]

The boundaries of the ward are: Christopher Road is in the north. Gobinda Chandra Khatick Road and Topsia Road (south) are to the east. Guriapara Road, Topsia Road (south), Tiljola Road and Gorachand Road are to the south. Topsia Road (south), Tiljola Road and Dr. Sundari Mohan Avenue are to the west.^[2][3]
