This is a list of earthquakes in 1919. Only magnitude 6.0 or greater earthquakes appear on the list. Lower magnitude events are included if they have caused death, injury or damage. Events which occurred in remote areas will be excluded from the list as they wouldn't have generated significant media interest. All dates are listed according to UTC time. Remarkably there were only 100 deaths this year. The southwest Pacific Ocean area saw some very large magnitude events. Clusters of activity were also found in Taiwan, the Philippines and Central America.

- A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Fiji on January 1 at a depth of 485.0 km.[2]
- A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck off the southwest coast of Sumatra, Indonesia on January 18 at a depth of 35.0 km.[3]
- A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Los Lagos Region, Chile on March 2 at a depth of 15.0 km.[4]
- A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Chubut Province, Argentina on March 2 at a depth of 15.0 km.[5]

- A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck directly under San Salvador, El Salvador on April 28 at an unknown depth. At least 100 deaths were caused and there was damage to many homes.[13]
- A magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck Tonga on April 30 at a depth of 25.0 km.[14] Some minor damage was caused as well as a tsunami.[15]

- An earthquake struck just off the coast of Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia on November 21. The magnitude and depth were unknown. Destruction was caused to a few homes.[41]

- A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the southeast coast of Taiwan on December 20 at a depth of 20.0 km.[43] This came just over an hour after the previous event and can be considered a doublet earthquake.
