Lone Pine Station, California

Lone Pine Station (also, Mount Whitney and Whitney)^[1] is a former settlement in Inyo County, California.^[2] It was initially located on the Carson and Colorado Railroad 3 miles (4.8 km) east-northeast of Lone Pine.^[1]^[2] Later the Southern Pacific Railroad was built on the place.^[1]
