Merì is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 170 kilometres (110 mi) east of Palermo and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,209 and an area of 1.9 square kilometres (0.73 sq mi).[1]
Merì borders the following municipalities: Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Milazzo, San Filippo del Mela, Santa Lucia del Mela.
